- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 8 fresh basil leaves
- 3/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 5 cups water
- 1/2 cup raw agave syrup (or maple syrup - not raw) and adjust to taste
In a blender, combine the fresh blueberries, basil leaves, freshly squeezed lemon juice, agave syrup or maple syrup, and cold water.Blend on high until all the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth. Pour the blended mixture through the strainer to remove any solids. Use a spoon to gently press the mixture through the strainer, extracting the liquid.
Pour the strained blueberry basil lemonade over the ice.
