Easy Tahini Sauce
This easy tahini sauce requires just a few simple ingredients and comes together in just a few minutes. The base of the sauce is tahini, a paste made from ground sesame seeds, which is combined with garlic, lemon juice, and water to create a creamy, tangy sauce that can be used in a variety of dishes. This recipe makes about 1 cup of sauce and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- 1/2 cup tahini paste (use raw to keep raw / or toasted for toasted flavor)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
In a medium bowl, whisk together tahini paste and water until smooth.
Add lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
If the sauce is too thick, add more water, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
Taste and adjust seasoning, if needed.
Serve immediately or store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
