- 1/2 cup Epsom salt
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 10 drops peppermint essential oil
- warm water (enough to fill a foot basin or tub)
Find a comfortable place to sit and relax while soaking your feet. Fill a foot basin or a shallow tub with warm water. Make sure the water is at a comfortable temperature for your feet.
Pour the Epsom salt into the warm water. Epsom salt is known for its ability to soothe sore muscles and relieve tension.
Add the baking soda to the water. Baking soda can help soften the skin and neutralize odors.
Carefully add 10 drops of peppermint essential oil to the water. Peppermint oil has a refreshing scent and a cooling sensation that can provide relief to tired feet.
Use your hand with a glove or a spoon to gently mix the ingredients in the water, ensuring they dissolve evenly.
Gently place your feet into the foot basin or tub. Allow your feet to soak for about 15-20 minutes. During this time, close your eyes, take deep breaths, and let the calming aroma of peppermint fill the air.
After the soak, gently pat your feet dry with a towel. If you'd like, follow up with a soothing foot massage using a nourishing foot cream or oil.
Finish by applying a moisturizing foot lotion or cream to lock in hydration and keep your feet feeling soft.
NOTES:
If you don't have Epsom salt, you can use regular coarse sea salt as an alternative.
You can customize the recipe by adding a few drops of lavender or eucalyptus essential oil for an extra relaxing touch.
Ensure the water is warm, not hot, to avoid discomfort or burns.
Use a foot scrubber or pumice stone to gently exfoliate your feet after the soak for even smoother results.
Enjoy this peppermint foot soak whenever you need a refreshing pick-me-up, a moment of relaxation, or simply a pampering treat for your feet.
