Vegan Basil Pesto

This vegan basil pesto is so flavorful and aromatic. It's made with fresh basil, pine nuts, garlic, olive oil, nutritional yeast, and lemon juice. Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts (or walnuts)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a food processor, blend the basil, pine nuts, lemon juice, and garlic until coarsely chopped.
  • Add the nutritional yeast and pulse until well combined.
  • Slowly pour in the olive oil while pulsing the mixture until it forms a smooth paste.
