Vegan Hemp Seed Milk
Vegan hemp milk is a dairy-free, plant-based alternative to traditional cow's milk. It's easy to make and can be used in a variety of recipes, from smoothies to baked goods.
- 1/2 cup hemp seeds
- 4 cups water
- 1 -2 dates, pitted (optional for sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon (optional) pure vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
Soak the hemp seeds in water for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
Drain and rinse the soaked hemp seeds.
Add the soaked hemp seeds, water, dates (if using), and salt (if using) to a blender.
Blend on high speed for about 1 minute or until smooth and creamy.
Strain the mixture through a nut milk bag or cheesecloth to remove any solids.
Store the hemp seed milk in an airtight container in the fridge
