Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (or any other non-dairy milk)
  • 1/4 cup plain or vanilla dairy-free yogurt (optional)
  • 1 -2 tablespoons maple syrup or agave nectar (optional, for added sweetness)
  • ice cubes (optional, for a thicker and colder smoothie)

Instructions

  • Peel and slice the ripe banana.
Measure out the frozen pineapple and mango chunks.
Blend: In a blender, combine the frozen pineapple, frozen mango, sliced banana, coconut milk, and orange juice. If you like a creamier texture, add the dairy-free yogurt at this stage as well.
  • Sweeten (Optional): Taste the smoothie and decide if you'd like it sweeter. If so, add 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup or agave nectar. Adjust the sweetness to your liking.
  • Add Ice (Optional): If you want a thicker and colder smoothie, you can add a handful of ice cubes to the blender.
  • Blend Again: Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a bit more coconut milk or orange juice to reach your desired thickness.
  • Serve: Pour the Pineapple Tropical Smoothie into glasses, and garnish with a slice of pineapple or a sprig of mint if desired.
