Apple Crisp

- 6 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 1/4 cup vegan butter or coconut oil, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, mix together sliced apples and brown sugar. Transfer to a baking dish.
In a separate bowl, mix together flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted vegan butter. Stir in chopped pecans if using.
