Vegan Sour Cream
Vegan cashew sour cream is a creamy and tangy plant-based alternative to traditional sour cream made from cashews. It can be used in a wide range of vegan recipes to add a rich and tangy flavor to dishes, such as dips, dressings, Mexican-inspired dishes, baked goods, and more.
- 1 cup raw cashews (soaked in water for at least 4 hours or overnight)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon nutritional yeast (optional)
Drain the soaked cashews and rinse them well.
Add the cashews, water, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, and salt to a blender or food processor.
Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy.
Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
Transfer the sour cream to a container and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
