Vegan Tzatziki Sauce

This vegan tzatziki sauce is so delicious! It is made with vegan yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, chopped fresh dill, salt, and pepper. The ingredients are combined and mixed to create a creamy and tangy sauce that can be used as a dip or condiment. It takes only a few minutes to prepare and yields about 1 1/3 to 1 1/2 cups of sauce.

Equipment

  • 1 grater
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk or fork for mixing

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup vegan yogurt (such as plain soy or coconut yogurt)
  • 1 cucumber, peeled, seeded and grated
  • 2 -3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, combine the vegan yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and chopped fresh dill.
  • Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Makes approximately 1.5 cups.
