Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked pinto beans
- 2 – 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until onion is soft and translucent.
- Add garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the skillet, and cook for 1 minute.
- Add cooked pinto beans to the skillet, and use a fork or potato masher to mash the beans until they are mostly smooth.
- Cook the beans, stirring occasionally, until they are heated through and have reached your desired consistency (add water if necessary).
