- 8 – 10 pitted dates, soaked in warm water for 10 -15 minutes to soften
- juice of 2 limes
- ½ cup water (adjust for desired consistency)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or agave (optional, for added sweetness)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil or any other preferred oil (optional)

- Soak the pitted dates in warm water for about 10-15 minutes to soften them.
