Storage tips
To store guacamole, transfer it to an airtight container and press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole to prevent air exposure. This helps to prevent browning. It’s best to store guacamole in the refrigerator and consume it within 1-2 days for optimal freshness.
Tip to keep it fresh looking
Guacamole can turn brown when exposed to air. However, there are a few tricks you can use to prevent this. One is to store the guacamole in an airtight container with a piece of plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface of the guacamole, which helps to minimize the amount of air that comes into contact with it. Another trick is to sprinkle a small amount of lemon or lime juice over the top of the guacamole before storing it, which can help to slow down the browning process.
